John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982)

Rated R • 1 hour, 48 minutes

At an isolated Antarctic research station, a shape-shifting alien can imitate anyone—and trust becomes as dangerous as the creature itself. Kurt Russell stars in John Carpenter’s terrifying blend of science fiction, paranoia, and unforgettable practical effects. In the frozen wilderness, survival depends on knowing who is still human.
